Rambling Roommates (Print and Play)

UPDATE: It's been a while since I uploaded the original project, but I now have two more "Rounds" for this game, consisting of 18 cards total! The goal is to eventually hit a full 54 cards, which I'm aiming to have done by the end of 2024. The "Display Version" of Rounds 3 and 4 contains a pdf of the cards arranged in an optimized order for READING, and the actual PRINT AND PLAY Rounds are arranged individually for being print double sided and played, preferably on cardstock, if you have it available.

Once all six rounds are uploaded, I will be privating this page, and loading a new page with all six rounds and maybe some QOL features! See you then!

Rambling Roommates is a project I started in 2019--the idea was to make a series of card games that each required only a single card to play--the rules would be printed on the card itself, making for the most minimal games possible.

Anyway, I made 9 cards in 2019, forgot about the project, and now I'm returning in 2021 to add 9 more--I expect I will be adding more with time, but we'll see how this goes.

There's a few different files to look at here, but I'd recommend starting off by downloading the "READ ME FIRST" PDF--it explains how to actually print the cards (the whole conceit requires you to print double sided on cardstock, which is kind of a big ask, I know, sorry), and also provides an overview of the games included. Feel free to just read through the document and not worry about actually printing out the cards themselves! I've taken measures to ensure you can enjoy these things without actually playing them. Some of them are actually playable with ordinary playing cards, others require only that you have access to the illustration.

This series is sort of an offshoot of my "Lizzie Smithson" series of games... think of it as a spinoff.

This is an in development series, so you can expect updates in the future! More cards, etc. It probably won't be updated all that often, though, this is more sort of a "special occasion" project for me--I work on it when I feel I have a good reason to. Shrug.
